Station layout

Library station uses a basic island platform layout with two tracks, one on either side of the platform. Similar to other stations on the University Line, the station is located in the median of East 400 Street; Library is specifically located between S 200 E and S 300 E with entrances at either end.[5] The northern track serves trains to downtown Salt Lake City and the southern track serves trains to the University of Utah.

Service

Library was originally on the University Line of the TRAX system; westbound service terminates at the Salt Lake City Intermodal Hub and eastbound service terminates at University Medical Center. The earliest transfer to the Sandy/Salt Lake Line is at Courthouse (UTA station), the first stop westbound from Library station. Trains arrive every fifteen minutes throughout the day in both directions.[6]

Bus connections

In addition to light rail service, UTA also offers bus service near Library with routes 473, 455, and 471 stopping at the station.
